Morgan Crabtree Assistant Coach
Morgan Crabtree, a former standout student-athlete on the Oregon State women's soccer team, enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Beavers program. Crabtree joins Oregon State after three seasons as an assistant coach at Idaho.
"We are very excited to have Morgan (Crabtree) join our staff," head coach Linus Rhode said. "As a former Oregon State player, she is knowledgeable about the university and will be a great role model for the student-athletes on the squad. Her professional playing experience and collegiate coaching experience has allowed her to build a solid recruiting network and she is a great fit for our program."
During her three seasons at Idaho, Crabtree was responsible for all facets of coaching as she played an integral role in recruiting student-athletes, organized team travel and assisted in the planning and implementation of team training sessions.
As a student-athlete at Oregon State, Crabtree spent her playing days as a center midfielder for the Beavers, earning All-Pac-10 honorable mention selections during her sophomore and junior seasons. She also was a first-team All-Academic honoree during her junior and senior seasons as she graduated with a degree in philosophy in 2003.
Her playing experience continued after college as she spent two summers as a member of the New Hampshire Phantoms of the WLeague.
Crabtree currently holds a United States Soccer Foundation National "D" License and has had extensive coaching experience at the club, high school and Olympic development level.
She served as an assistant coach for the Idaho ODP 92 Girls team and worked with the Region IV ODP during the summer of 2006.
Crabtree began her coaching career in 2003 with the Oregon United Soccer Academy and continued as a coach at Tigard (Ore.) High School in 2004. She has also served as a coach with the Lake Oswego Soccer Club for the 2004-05 season and the Moscow United U18 girls soccer team. ________________________________________________________________________
Michelle Voiland Assistant Coach
Michelle Voiland, who has served the past three seasons as an assistant coach for FC Saarbrücken in Germany, enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Oregon State women's soccer program. Voiland will work primarily with the Oregon State goalkeepers.
Voiland has spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach with FC Saarbrücken, serving as the team's goalkeeper coach after playing for eight seasons with the German soccer club.
Prior to her stint at FC Saarbrücken, Voiland spent two seasons as a coach for the Nevada Olympic Development Program. She served as the head goalkeeper coach for the Nevada South ODP where she was responsible for evaluation, selection and training of the boys and girls goalkeepers for all age groups.
Voiland also served as the assistant coach at Chaparral High School in Las Vegas (1996-1998) where she worked with the boys and girls varsity teams and served as the junior varsity boys and girls head coach. In addition, she founded the Las Vegas Goalkeeper Academy in 1996 and was an assistant coach for three seasons with the Portland Metro Soccer Club (1993-95).
The native of Seattle, Wash., was a standout soccer player at the University of Portland, where she was the starting goalkeeper and was a four-time, first-team all-conference selection. During her senior season, Voiland led the Pilots to the NCAA Women's College Cup Final Four.
Following her playing days with the Pilots, Voiland played for three seasons in the Nevada ODP before starting her eight-year professional playing career with FC Saarbrücken
Voiland earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Portland in the spring of 1995 and holds a Nevada State Soccer Association "D" coaching license.
